About this episode
A cake FLIES over the fence and lands SPLAT in the neighbor's garden — but nobody threw it! Join Bobo & Pim, the woodland detective duo, as they take on two angry clients at the same time in this fun animated mystery for kids!
Neighbors Fern and Poppy burst into the detective office, each blaming the other: Fern's cake landed in Poppy's garden, and Poppy's flowers got squashed flat! For the first time ever, the agency splits up — Bobo takes Fern's case and Pim takes Poppy's. The clues lead both detectives to the two backyards, where little Milo's paw prints hop through the grass... and more cakes keep flying! Can Bobo and Pim stop arguing long enough to catch the cake-flinger before the very last cake takes off?

Read along with the story (this gives away the ending)
- Fern Bobo! Look at my cake. It landed in HER garden!
- Poppy My garden is FLAT under her cake! And I found THIS.
- Bobo Two clients. One crime each. And each says the other did it. Who do YOU believe?
- Fern And I know whose little paws hop through MY yard.
- Pim Nobody. Evidence first.
- Bobo I shall take the case!
- Pim Which one?
- Bobo ...Fern's. Pim — you take Poppy's.
- Bobo The agency has never faced ITSELF before.
- Pim We are detectives. Not mirrors.
- Bobo To the yards, everyone!
- Narrator One gate. Two yards. Two very cross neighbours.
- Bobo Little paws. Right beside the cakes. And a dropped seedling.
- Bobo Evidence returns to the scene. Exactly where it lay.
- Fern Fine. One flat cake, back where it landed.
- Pim A ribbon. A cake-shaped dent. The baker was here.
- Fern I never crossed that gate!
- Poppy Neither did I! I was planting all morning.
- Fern And I was icing. Three cakes for the picnic. ...Two.
- Milo I heard a BANG at breakfast. A big wooden one.
- Bobo Then we re-enact the crime! Fern. Cake two goes EXACTLY where cake one stood.
- Pim That sounds expensive.
- Bobo It is DETECTIVE work.
- Fern Be gentle with this one.
- Bobo Gentle is my middle—
- Fern MY CAKE!
- Poppy MY FLOWERS! Again!
- Pim You ordered it.
- Fern That is TWO, Poppy.
- Poppy Where I lived before, nobody blamed me for things. I should go back.
- Pim Nobody touched that cake.
- Pim Cake one flew right. Seedling flew left.
- Pim Everything flew AWAY from the gate. Both yards. Same moment.
- Bobo Things do not fly, Pim.
- Pim They do if something throws them.
- Bobo Look at both yards. What throws things without hands?
- Milo For the agency.
- Bobo Detective test!
- Milo It came BACK!
- Pim The return swing. That is what carried your seedling over, Poppy.
- Poppy ...The gate did it?
- Pim The latch is broken. It has been throwing things all along. Nobody crossed anything.
- Fern Poppy. I called you a flower squasher.
- Poppy I called you a cake thrower. We were both wrong. It was the fence.
- Bobo Detectives fix what they find. Milo. The ball, please.
- Pim Gate nap.
- Milo It is an agency ball now.
- Poppy And the seedling stays by the post. So we remember.
- Bobo A gate is just the bit of fence that knows how to open.
- Fern CLOSED!
- Poppy Extremely closed!
- Milo SO closed!
- Narrator Two yards. One gate. And the case of the cake that learned to fly.
