About this episode
Milo says HE did it — but did he really? Join Bobo & Pim, the woodland detective duo, as they try to solve a case where their own client has already confessed, in this fun animated mystery for kids!
Little Milo bursts into the Detective Agency first thing in the morning: he threw his ball, there was a CRASH, Fern's flower is down, and his ball is gone — so please, arrest him! Bobo happily takes the case (and Milo's best acorn as a fine). But out in the alley, the clues don't add up: there's dirt, petals, a tiny seed... and no ball anywhere. So Bobo does what any great detective would do — he throws the ball again. And again. Follow the detectives from the office to Fern's alley to find out what REALLY knocked that flower down!

- Bobo We're not open till—
- Milo I did it!
- Bobo Did what?
- Milo I threw my ball. And there was a CRASH.
- Milo Fern's flower's down. My ball's GONE.
- Milo Arrest me.
- Pim Arrest you.
- Bobo A crash. A flower down. And no ball anywhere. What knocked it over, hm?
- Milo That's my best acorn. For the damages.
- Pim He's paying his own fine.
- Bobo The agency accepts—
- Bobo —nothing yet.
- Bobo We do the crime again. Properly.
- Pim That's not how—
- Bobo PROPERLY.
- Bobo You carry the evidence. Touch nothing else.
- Milo Can I bounce it?
- Bobo No.
- Milo See? Down. Dirt everywhere.
- Bobo Nobody touch anything. Especially you.
- Milo It's MY crime scene.
- Bobo Dirt. Petals. And NO ball.
- Pim And it fell right under the sill. Straight down.
- Bobo Not important.
- Milo There's a SEED in there! Can I keep it?
- Bobo Not now, Milo.
- Pim Where did your ball land, Milo?
- Milo It didn't land. It went over the bins and never came back.
- Bobo Then we throw again. Milo — stand there. Throw.
- Bobo Short. You threw harder than that.
- Milo I didn't!
- Bobo Then it was a HARDER throw. Like this. Observe.
- Pim Gone.
- Bobo The bin ate it.
- Pim The bin ate YOURS. So what ate Milo's?
- Bobo AH! Recovered!
- Milo That's MY ball!
- Pim From INSIDE the bin.
- Pim So the crash you heard was the bin. Your ball never touched any flower.
- Milo I'm not a criminal?
- Bobo Nobody is cleared until—
- Pim He's cleared.
- Bobo Then it was a BIGGER ball. A harder throw. A sill is EASY to hit.
- Bobo Observe. UP — and over.
- Pim Bobo, don't—
- Milo ...You did it.
- Pim Look at YOUR crash. The ball's sitting right in it.
- Pim Now Milo's. No ball. There NEVER was.
- Pim What breaks a thing stays WITH the thing.
- Pim The ball in the bin. The dirt with nothing in it. And a crash that KEEPS its ball.
- Pim So who tipped Fern's flower? Do YOU know?
- Pim Because HE doesn't.
- Fern Why is my alley full of detectives?
- Bobo Fern! Your flower! Somebody knocked—
- Fern I did.
- Fern It slipped while I was lifting it down for water. I went in for this.
- Fern ...Why are there TWO?
- Milo Say the brave part, Bobo.
- Bobo ...I did it. It was me.
- Fern Hm. At least you said it straight.
- Milo I said it was me this morning. I even paid my fine.
- Fern Before anybody asked? That's the brave kind.
- Bobo Milo. That seed you found.
- Milo NOW, Milo?
- Bobo Right now, Milo.
- Fern Flowers fall. Flowers start again.
- Pim Office. There's a FORM for this.
- Bobo Your acorn. The agency can't keep it. You didn't break anything.
- Milo I DID throw a ball into a bin.
- Pim That's allowed.
- Bobo Juniors stamp.
- Milo Case closed!
- Milo And one more—
- Milo —for the flower YOU broke.
- Bobo That was fieldwork.
- Pim That was OWNING UP.
- Narrator Two crashes, one seed, and the bravest line a detective can say: it was me.
